Serving & Feeding Guidelines

Delight Bites's™ belief is to provide healthy, all natural, single ingredient, tasteful treats that inevitably bond owner and pet. The most successful way to train your dog, is to gift treats. Good training equals good behavior through rewarding something your dog craves.

YOUR PET’S SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US AND TOP OF MIND. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE HELPFUL SERVING AND FEEDING GUIDELINES:

ALWAYS CUT TREATS INTO SMALL PIECES:

Do not give a whole jerky strip treat to your pet. Always cut with a knife or sturdy scissors, or break up the treat into smaller size pieces. If you are unsure the appropriate size to feed your dog, you should seek help from your vet. We advise breaking the jerky strips into dime size pieces as you feed your dog.

ALWAYS SERVE WITH WATER:

Jerky treats are hard, dehydrated meat. To avoid any potential choking hazards, always make sure your dog as access to water. They can drink from your water bottle, or a local water bowl nearby.

ALWAYS SEPARATE MULTIPLE DOGS:

Dogs can get really excited and/or really territorial when it comes to gifting them treats. Separating your dog from other pets before giving them treats is a best practice. By doing this, your dog is less likely to swallow the treats whole in effort to protect his or her food from other dogs and therefore, less likely to choke.

Microwave to soften:

Owners often microwave their dog’s food to serve soft and warm. We have found crumbling some Delight Bites on the top or mixing into their food helps them eat, especially in cases where the pet struggles with eating all of their food in one serving.  Treats may harden over time. To soften, you can microwave for 5 seconds for ease of slicing or chewing.

STORE TREATS IN SEALED PACKAGING:

Delight Bites are heat sealed for optimum freshness. Always refrigerate after opening. For longer term preservation, you may store in the freezer. Be sure to remove air from the Delight Bites bag and seal completely after every feeding.
